Our church used IN THE SAME WAY as a provocative model to answer the question: How do we fulfill Jesus’ command to “make disciples” of all people? Ronnie’s thoughts are his own, but distilled from a lifetime of sitting at the feet of acknowledged masters. His library of favorites is like a Hall of Fame of Christian thoughts on discipleship. Yet Ronnie weaves it all together in a way that is both modern and fresh. Currently, I am using the book again personally, in a one-on-one discipleship relationship with a man I believe God wants to use. What a blessing to have at your fingertips deep concepts regarding “seeing Christ formed” in others, yet written in a very easy to grasp language. I recommend In the Same Way to Jesus followers, new and old alike, so that we could all become more and more like Jesus Christ.

As I read IN THE SAME WAY the author takes me above treeline. He refreshes my view of biblical truths and encourages me that I won’t float to Jesus. I am especially reminded that my sustaining food is Jesus who gives life with his enduring freedom.
